WINGS
I lift my wings to the sky
Trying to reach something
But I don't know if it's there
Or even what it is I'm looking for
As the rain begins to fall
I open my mouth
And let the wet drops
Fall down to quench my dry throat
As gray clouds roll through my eyes
And the Earth shakes
With the loud thunder crack
And the sky lights up
As a bolt of lightening strikes
And glazes bright reflections
In my wet eyes
Before I close them
I put my hand down
Let the rain soak my hair
And slowly, sadly return indoors
My wings folded limp
Soaked to my back.

Very nice poem! I am sorry I have not greeted you sooner but I have a full time job off line. All of the ads you see on the pages (except for the google ads) are mine all the money from the clicks or purchases goes back into the church to improve this site. We get paid for the clicks on the Rotatrixfriends ads. so just a click now and then is all it takes.
If you need anything like advice or just someone to vent to just send me a message. I have been an ordained minister for 20 years. I received my Ph.D in metaphysics from Stephen F. Austin State University with a minor in psychology.
Thanks for joining and Welcome aboard!
